First bite

Well guys I received my first bite few minutes ago. It was to the knuckle area of the middle finger and broke skin a tiny bit. I'm sure some of you remember my juvenile beardie Odahviing can be a little bit of a she devil sometimes and she's still not really socialized but doing much better than she was. Fortunately I think this time it was accidental as it happened when I was about to feed her and she gets pretty excited when I drop the crickets in so I guess she jumped and grabbed my finger. I washed it considering a lizard's mouth is a bacteria paradise but other than that I don't really care, I mean it hurt a little and startled me but it wasn't bad. I'm sure a large dragon could give you a real nasty one if they wanted to. Anyway yeah, I got my first bite but the thing I worry about now is that this can't be good for our still developing relationship.

I think it will be fine, as long as she doesn't show aggression to you the bite was probably just an accident
My beardie but his actual owner before because she had calcium on her hand and he thought they were worms, she has a solid relationship with him still and he has never bitten her after that

Yea Izzy has bit me but just once and I think I startled her but that was when she was little and she got my knuckle I think she might have had her eyes closed and I came over her head not thinking about it and touched her front foot...my bad and it has not done anything to our bond I can do just about anything to her, so just you should be fine.

Yeah she's certainly showed some aggressive tendencies from time to time but I guess a little bite isn't going to make too much difference to her who's still getting used to me.
