Willow did not go through a gravid phase the same time this year. I brought her to the vet to make sure she wasn't impacted. She wasn't & the Dr mentioned that sometimes they don't have a gravid season in a year.
Fast forward three months to this week & she has dug two tunnels. First one was in her lay box (no egg laying) 2nd was in her enclosure (a smaller dig box) but she has managed to turn around & back up into it. I found her sleeping in her tunnel when I got home from work last night.

She is still in there this morning. I don't know if I should take her out of her tunnel. She seems content but this is new behavior & I don't know what to do or prepare for. She still has an appetite & she is still sassy. She scales are a bright colour but she is in her little tunnel & her face is caked in sand from digging all day yesterday.

What should I do?

Basking area is 100°, cooler side is 77°, the tunnel she dug is close to the basking area and it's 84° in the tunnel.
Arcadia T5 D3 Desert UVB (24 Watt) was changed in April 2022.

First pic was from last night, second from this morning.

Are you able to get her out of the tunnel she is in now? I would leave her be and watch her -- if shes in there for 10 days get her out and make sure shes hydrated - she could be going into brumation I dont know your dragon - also what is the weather like now where you are - your UVB is it in the tank or top of screen and what kind of screen is on the tank ? fine mesh like a screen door or a wide hole type? this makes a difference in where it is placed along w/ the distance

I tried to coax her out with her favourite snack but she seems super comfy. She had a 4 month brumation from Sept 8 2021-Jan 1 2022. I don't think she wants to brumate again but I also am very new to Beardie life. Her UVB is not blocked by a screen at all either. She had a good dose of UVB on Friday when I brought her to the park.
She started digging earlier this week. Not sure what she is preparing for. Happy.

She may be gravid - check her abodomen for eggs- and 4 months is too long for brumation - they should only brumate for 3 months - did she loose weight- what about hydration? Your uvb should be 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor - 8" is too close for a 12% bulb -

Oh dear - I read that they can brumate for up to 4 months so I let her. When the 4 month mark hit, I turned on her lights to mimick spring & she walked out of her cave. I checked her weight every 3 weeks in the latter half of her brumation & she maintained the same weight & didn't appear to be dehydrated. Her first poopie was healthy too so that was positive.

I will change the height of her UVB light. Thank you so much, Sadie. You are so helpful & knowledgeable :)
