I am confused on a few things. If anyone can answer one of these questions, that would be great
1. If I use a calcium gut-load food, do I still need to supplement?
2. Will I need any special equipment (heating pad, etc) for crickets? I know about shredded egg cartons already
3. What's best for giving crickets water? Watering sponge? Commercial cricket water cubes? Orange slices or other fruits/veggie Soup?
4. Can I keep crickets in a large plastic storage bin? (The kind you can find at Walmart, Target, Etc)
5. Would it be possible to keep the crickets in my garage? The only heat that reaches it is from the house.
6. Can I use a commercial cricket diet?
7. Is there a safe way to minimize noise, smell, and chance of escape?

1. No? I'm not a hundred percent sure since I've never used it.

2. Not really, you mainly just need a bin, paper towels, egg cartons / paper towel rolls, and two dishes.

3. All of them have their pros and cons I personally like using fruits.

4. Yes!

5. Depends on how cold or hot your garage is.

6. You can but it is suggested that you also use fruits and vegetables.

7. For noises and smell there's nothing you can really do just try to keep it clean and the crickets shouldn't be escaping if you're using a bin.
