hi i feed my baby beardie once a day. i have learned that any beardies are supposed to eat 2-3 times a day. i am a very busy person and only have time to feed my beardie once a day. he eats about 35-40 small dubia roaches that one time he eats a day. is it ok that he only eats once even though he eats a lot that one time i feed him?

Itd be best if he could get fed more than once, but its not an issue, id leave veggies with a couple roaches in his feeding dish so he can munch throughout the day, get an anti escape bowl if u dont already have one.

i leave salad in his bowl everyday and he doesn't like eating roaches out of a bowl he likes chasing them around

Well, if the enclosure isnt too crowded throw some extras in there so he can find em throughout the day, roaches wont bite him like crickets would.

If he can get one meal 2 hours before bedtime, that should be enough, you may want to change his wake up time so you can have more time in the morning to feed him?

As long as his hip bones aren’t showing (sometimes baby’s hips show don’t worry) and hes got a lil belly each day he’ll be fine :) most bearded dragons in the wild dont eat every day.

Hi try and feed 4-5 times a day for a Beardie inder 6mnths old add crickets to his diet too. Dubias are great and so are crickets. And the 35-40 is great; that’s a good amount. Also please add greens/veggies to his plate everyday not just lettuce; that does nothgin for them. Best ones are mustard greens, yellow squash it has lots of calcium, collard greens, dandelions, butternut squash, endives, green beans and snap peas. Do a mix of 2-3 of each Def do the mustard greens; they love them and Add a few veggies the yellow squash for sure and cut them up very small to his size and when he gets bigger u can have them a bit bigger. Fruits as treats a few times a week; blueberries, mangoes, papaya & some apples/bananas.

he eats collard greens and he is pretty good about eating them everyday I've tried giving him fruits he's not really interested in them but i will have to try to add different greens and add veggies.

I added red bell pepper to my salad for awhile when my guy wasn’t eating a lot of greens. They are attracted to the color , I read.
