Facial Growth and Discoloration

I have a 10yr old bearded dragon, who I adopted from my neighbour, and have noticed he had a growth that started showing a couple months ago. Every now and then it does go down in size but it seems to have spread a little more but my main concern now is that the skin around the side of his head has started turning a grey color.

I will take him to the Vet regardless, but if anyone can give me feedback then that would be great.

This little guy has really crawled into my heart. Bless him.
