typically this is a sign of a shed. Shedding is itchy for them so they rub on rough surfaces to loosen the skin and scratch the itch.staylor said:I have noticed he is rubbing his face on his stick. He does not have any injuries so just wondering if it is something I should take him to the vet for or if he is just itchy.
I give him a bath everyday since he does not like to eat veggies and I am a worrier and don't want him to get dehydrated. I also spray him a lot. It is so cute he tilts his head and runs up to the bottle so it is almost touching his face.zebraflavencs said:At any rate.. sounds like time for a bath...

Ok...he should be getting ready to shed anytime now. He has almost doubled in size since I got him...amazing what a proper diet can do. He has outgrown his baby viv so he will be moving into his big boy home next weekRenee said:staylor said:How often do they shed?
It varies per dragons. Young ones tend to shed A LOT. They have a lot of growing to do. Older ones shed less often, couple of times per year.
