I have brought home 2 and was not at all expecting to care for what is happening.
I think from what I have read my boy is wearing out my girl. she is not eating, even after hours being separated. She always from what I can tell gets into position for him, I have had them about a week now. Is it normal for her to not be eating at this time and should I maybe be in the period between her laying eggs? and will he ever quit humping her or do they always when caged together? they seem like they are both in heat.

after I separate she still doesn't eat..she did eat a mouse, but I really don't want to have to buy a lot of mice or do I care to feed her that many mice. I really don't want to separate if this is something that will pass or is this to be expected all the time?

yes yes little bitty. I had them a couple of days and crickets were all either would eat no veggies. the man I bought them from gave me crickets. also I have read a lot and have many veggies for them as in collard, turnip, parsnip, green beans, ...they will not eat anything that doesn't move and she is not eating any crickets either. she has ate a few meal worms but really very very few.....I really would like any ideas is their a veggie she just wont refuseor will I need to buy live bugs for her to eat...and if so what would be best most reasonable way to feed her live insects ..will she be ok without eating veggies? how do I get her to eat them?

How old are your dragons approximately? They like variety as well so offer a few different greens / fruits daily. Also meal worms are bad for beardies. My beardie went on a hunger strike before only thing it would eat was meal worms. You have to wait it out because eventually she will get hungry and eat. But still offer crickets daily or every other and veggies daily. Maybe get some super worms and put them in their salad bowl. Also Dubia roaches are great feeders I am starting a colony myself, they are more nutritious than crickets also no smell or jumping!

thank you..... the girl is 3 and the boy 2..today they had turnip greens, parsnip, red bell pepper, and strawberries. with maybe 20 crickets...and they wouldn't touch anything but crickets and worms ... I haven't been giving too many crickets I don't feel like anyway I want them to eat some of their vegs. how many crickets or dubias can one eat in a day? I have super worms coming in Friday..trying to hold out until then.....I"ll keep feeding the greens and vegs..maybe they will start eating vegies soon..with crickets and super worm combo

Well depends if they are large crickets they could eat about 20-30 a piece. I feed my beardies there live bugs every couple days. I do give supers daily and pinky mice one a month or every two along with veggies. It will not hurt them to go a day or two with out bugs. Still offer the salad they will probably eat it.

No dont keep them further unless you want your girl exhausted and stressed because the boy will only try to breed and keep her from eating.

thank you..i am going to get some more uvb and basking lights today and separate...
I have been reading your thread on dubias I am going to check see if I can get any local and give them a shot. if they eat I will probably look into a colony as well. they have eaten some turnip greens finally it doesn't look like they ate anything else though they scattered everything.

If your female is gravid she'll begin to scratch in her cage alot. Then you need to put her in a storage tote that is filled with moistened sand and potting soil mixed. She will dig a little burrough lay her eggs then cover it back up then you remove her and put her in her cage its important to feed her calcium rich veggies and gut loaded crickets. So you can get her calcium back up.
