I have my tanks 4 of them in my bedroom on dressers. I live in Los Angeles and also worry about burglars and such scooping up my animals on the way out the door. 3 dogs and myself say my room is burglar proof. I've been trying to think of a way of bolting the glass tanks to the dresser and then the dresser to the wall. I'm gonna practice on a small tank first. If I turn it over and weld support type bars with bolt holes in them and drill holes in the top of the dresser for the bolt and then put on the nut from the bottom . It may have to be raised up a little bit. I don't even know if the frames could be welded material wise. Anybody have ideas or see any flaws or improvements to my idea they would be welcome. Picking glass off of my animals is no bueno!!

Hmmm. Brackets are made for attaching bookcases to walls. Check at your local hardware store. Good for you for being so proactive

There was this clip on tv that I just watched about toddlers and dresser safety, there was some special way to bolt the dresser to the wall so it does't fall over on them. As far as attaching the tank to the dresser I have no idea.

I know, it's all about the animals LOL! I thought it would help to keep the dresser in place so it doesn't fall over with the tank on top.

You should do a wiring like if he step or trip over a wire it lock both window and door and make the window sound proof or bullet proof

securing the dress to the wall would be easy, cut a lenght of wood down that can be screwed(horisontally) into the back of the dresser, push up to the wall where you want it an drill through the wood and into the wall, now depending on the wall you can push raw plugs into the wall to screw into other wise i different type of fitting maybe needed.

as for securing a glass tank...
id maybe look at a no-nails type adhesive an stick the viv down to the dresser, failing that id weld up a angle iron frame that fits snuggly over the top with a lenght of bar that drops down either side of the dresser that you can screw into the dresser.

failing all of the above, hire a hit man to live in the room with him
