Early scale rot??

Mushu is my world, he’s a year old but I’ve recently grown worried about his tail. Some of the scales on it seem to be missing? And some of them are dark in color compared to the rest of his tail.

Could you post pictures of the end of his tail? I cannot see it. The lighting also isn't the best.

Could be signs of shed -- or coloring -- I do not believe that is scale rot -
