I'm going to order a mix of S M L nymphs to start my roach ranch. How many can I safely keep in a 70 quart container?

Also, is it OK to go on a one week vacation if the tubs are kept in a stable environment with plenty of water crystals and dry food?

As long as you have lots of egg cartons for them to spread out they will be fine, if your starting your colony I would suggest having separate tubs 1 for your adults at a 3:1 ratio fe to male and then your feeder tub for the rest as you want to leave your breeder colony alone for 6-8 weeks except to give fresh oranges, water crystals and dry chow, so they settle and get busy.. once they are producing you can mess with them without really disturbing them...
Vacation: yea as long as you give them plenty of crystals and chow they should be fine.

Oh and when you go on vacation don't leave them any oranges or greens/veggies as if the get moldy while your gone you can destroy your colony..
