Dry heaving ? Stretching? RI?

So I’ve recently gotten a bearded dragon about a week ago and she’s about 3 months old. I’ve been having a little bit of trouble with her humidity but I did put a dehumidifier in my room & it has helped a ton over the last few days but she is doing this odd thing where she almost gags or dry heaves and stretches her beard. I’m not sure if any sound comes out, I don’t hear anything loud if there is sound that comes out. Besides that she’s healthy, she eats for me and is a very active girl. Any thoughts?

How are your temps in the cage? What UVB do you use? What size bugs do you feed them? When they puff out there beard does the beard turn black? You said the beardie is eating well and active thats good. Alot of time beardies with puff there beard and open there mouth when there trying to loosen shed around the beard

And too add how is the humidity? And when you check your temperatures do you use the stick ons?

Sounds like the insects may be too big- what are you feeding? What is your humidity in the tank and are you using a dial?

I am using a dial I keep it in between 30 and 40 percent. I’m going to keep that in mind and size down on her insects - thank you!!

The temps in the cage are around 85 on the hot side and 75 on the cool side, humidity is around 30-40 percent & I feed her crickets probably around the size of a quarter. When she puffs up the beard does not turn black.

Please change out the bulb to a Reptisun 10.0 either the T 8 or a T 5 I dont know what size fixture your using and placement and distance is key here along w/ the screen -- please post what your using
