Draco wasted no time

So my little guy arrived this morning. I held him for a bit and put him in his enclosure. He checked things out, didn't really move for about a half hour then BAM he started zipping all over the place! I misted him, gave him some pellets (which he had nothing to do with) then he climbed up his branch to bask.

Once I put some crickets in there he went to town! Ate about 15 crickets He's quite the social butterfly.

Lights shut off at 8 and literally within 5 minutes he was sleeping... Either he had a long day (he was in a box for at least 12 hours after all) or he just knows when lights are out its time for sleep.

Anyhow I'm already enjoying be a bearded dragon owner greatly even though I'm only 12 hours in! Looks like the start to a beautiful friendship

Speaking of him wasting no time, I woke up to find him sleeping like this.. Back legs spread out and all... SO CUTE!

Nice sleeping pic. Looks like he's really enjoying his 'basking' log. Sleeping all sprawled out. Wait until he presses himself against the glass of his home in uncomfortable positions. (May look uncomfortable to us, but not to them.)

He sleeps like that ALL the time! Lately he's been sprawling out at the top of his branch and putting one hand around the probe from his thermometer like he's hugging it and laying his head on top of the probe.. I love looking in at his crazy sleeping positions!
