Well Dr. evil was being very hormonal today tearing up his cage headbobbing at everything he could (midlife crisis maybe lol).

So I figured I would take him out and have him sit with me on the couch for a bit see if that would calm him down. Well it didn't. he was being wild as all get out still. So I picked him up and set him on my chest and he quickly chomped down on the edge of my thumb and took a pretty good chunck out of it. What a turd lol.

Yeah and he bit me fairly good too. I was looking at my thumb this morning and if you look at the tip of your thumb on the outer edge where it is round all the way across. Well the left side of mine has a fairly large V cut into it now lol.

LOL must be that time of the year ;). The bat eater did exactly the same thing to me a week ago (first time too) she somehow thought my thumb was a juicy little pinky and chomped on it. She was kind enough though to apply a really tight tourniquet around my hand to stem the bleeding lol.

OT But might be interesting.

P. barbata bites are nastier than P. vitticeps bites (known from experience). Eastern bearded dragons are known to have a protein enzyme in heir silliva found only in another species of reptile which weirdly are endemic from the US. They have a protein in their saliva that is only found in the rattlesnake family. Before anybody ask and jumps to conclusions no they are not venoumous (BDs not rattlers lol). It is only one component so is not a complex concoction found in snake venom. From personal experience the Eastern bite bled more than the Central bite and took longer to heal (hurt all the same though).

Hehe must be in the air... My hubby, Dusty, was messing with Yoyo the other day and Yoyo bit him too. He didn't draw blood or anything but it was funny. Moody dragons lol

Oh I like this post.
Not that I like you all getting bit, but in the past I felt like I was all alone with the temperamental one . . . . and now
Everyones BD's are acting out EXCEPT MINE LOL

P used to be the hissing kind, but lately shes all lovie dovie. Calm as a lamb.

Maybe her bad moods have gone overseas . . . . .
