Hi everyone! I don't know about you, but I am really getting sick of people giving me dirty looks and going ewwwww when I tell them I have a lizard! My bearded dragon has helped me in so many personal ways its amazing. When I am sad or have bad days I just take my beardie out in the sun or if it is at night he falls asleep on my neck and it brings me joy. Most people think dogs or cats are the only animals who can do that, but beardies are included!!! I love the responsibility that comes with a beardie as well. I used to sleep in on the weekends until 12 or 1:00 and since I have got Baby I would never dare to do that since he needs to be fed! Does anyone else feel this way?

I guess mine has helped me in some personal ways, so have my frogs. It's so relaxing to come home from a hard day at work and take care of them. It sounds funny for it to be "relaxing" to come home to do more work but they rely on you for their care and they don't complain. People don't really give me dirty looks, but I do get the occasional ewwww. I think people just don't understand and they are afraid to ask questions. They also don't realize what we have to/or are willing to give up to care for these animals. My parents live in another state and for years I was angry with them because they wouldn't board their dog so they could come visit. Now I get it! I can't go on vacation because I don't have anyone that I could trust with Dexter and her frogs.

I don't have to worry about getting up early anymore to feed her....at almost 8 months she has decided that she no longer wants breakfast and will opt for some salad mid day and a big cricket dinner.

I love my baby. I will admit, I do lean more towards cats and dogs, but I love all of my babies equally and my beardie is helping me learn to stick to a strict schedule. I'm also learning not to let my cat rule my life anymore, she gets kicked out at night when I'm sleeping or when I'm not home because she likes to hunt the little guy. Back to the schedule thing, my beardie has really impacted my life in a positive way, I don't procrastinate on doing things anymore because I know I need to get them done by a certain time so I can go feed him or whatever he needs.

Yes. She always makes me smile because if you look at her carefully, her beards a brilliant orange, she has a smile on her face whenever you see her, and loves to cuddle you for warmth. I enjoy her company and she really seems to understand me in certain ways. I do know that animals sense a good person from a bad person.

Allie usually goes in the car for short small trips to the pet store or trips to the artist shows. She really loves artwork and will go look at every single painting. (If I have her out of her crate.) The last trip I went to the pet store, everyone started calling her an Iguana and asking about how she got so beautiful because the pet store bearded dragons don't really look like her.

All of them are brown and tan normals.

Allie's colors are white, orange, golden yellow, sandy yellow, brown eyes, and a pattern on her back. She also has these purple splotches that resemble stripes of some sort on her back. With every shed, she's been getting brighter and more colorful.
