Does my bearded dragon have parasites

Hey friends,
My beardie came from a really bad home and I’ve been super cautious with him and his health. I noticed he hasn’t been eating much and hasn’t touched his salad in a couple days. His poop has been super runny and has smelt horrible. There’s no logs it’s just one pile of mush. I’ve had him for about 2 months and this is the first time I’ve seen this. If any of y’all could let me know what this is or what it could bethat would be amazing.

Call your vet ask if you can bring a fecal sample in for testing if parasites and go from there-- it sounds like it's a possibility- what are his basking temps and how are you taking them? What are you using for a UVB? Brand and bulb coil or tube and where in the tank is it?

Hey thank you for responding,
I keep him under a 160 mercury vapor for basking his temps for the hot side are around 108, then I have a 10.0 bulb on his cool side and those temps are around 87 degrees his humidity is 30% on average, but I will definitely call my vet and ask if I can bring in a fecal sample

10.0 bulb is this a coil or a tube? If its a coil its basically no good - the MVB is what brand? And how far is the distance and is it unobstructed ?

It’s a bulb and it’s about 15 inches from him and I’m not sure about the brand

Bulb meaning tube? Coil? Look on the bulb itself it will tell you brand and bulb--- long tube it will say T 5 or T 8 coil it will say 13 watt etc--+ this is extremely important for the health of your dragon----- how old is the UVB?

It’s a 2u-13 watt zoo med 10.0 uvb bulb it’s 1 month old and it’s 2 tubes

Please get rid of the 13 watt coil-- it is inadequate- you need a 24" fixture w/ a reflector-- and a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb ASAP-- this would be a reason for issues you are having - he's basically getting no UVB - especially in a 40+ gallon tank---

I went to a reptile expo and they said I don’t need any uvb becuase he’s getting it while he’s basking from the mercury vapor they said that anything else is just for looks pretty much I’m gonna take him to the vet still because he’s been acting weird and he came from a bad place but thank you for the advice I’ll probs invest in a new uvb

I would your better safe than sorry- that coil is going to do more harm than good -- have responded to too many people that are using that bulb and all had really sick dragons- some have died- the mvb is what brand and bulb wattage?
