Thanks so much. I will look into it. I do have one that is TROPICAL and dont think it provides the same effect that is needed for a beardie...I will replace it though

hi. Just found out that I have a MEGA RAY MERCURY 100 W bulb in my dome...Will that give off some sort of UVB because I cant get it until July 22.
I thought I had one but it is the TROPICAL one..I do have both on but I was told that is not the right one...

Coil and compact UVB bulbs aren't good for beardies. They need to get like 3 inches from the bulb to get any benefits from it. Tube styles are the best. MVB bulbs are okay too. I would get an IR temp gun to measure your temps. A 100w MVB bulb sounds like a lot of heat for a 20 gallon tank. You need to have a heat gradient. 107 in the basking spot for a baby and 80 on the cool side.

HI
He likes to sit in the corner of the hammock that is about 100-104 at all times. He slept against the glass last night. i have a temp gun and i am always testing it and he looks at me like..WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING lol. Those lil beady eyes are gorgeous. But I have a webcam on him now and he is in the same spot i left him after tried to feed him crickets. under the hammock..in the corner...against the glass..(he is scared of me) but I am working on it.
Didnt even know i had a Mercury Bulb. Crazy. Feels good to know I am starting off good..getting to great and then better for my baby
