Hey guys,
Sorry for alot of posts on this subject but I just want to make sure I don't do anything wrong for my beardies well being when i FINALLY get him! Is it okay to house two babies in a 40 gal breeder if I divide the tank up? It would just be for two weeks tops. Also I have a mega ray MVB. Would this light in a "smaller inclosure" still provide enough of a temp gradient? Also, Which way should I divide? I was thinking the long way, that would allow for a basking spot for both lizards but also for a cool side. Alsoo, how would I go about dividing up my tank.
Thanks so much everyone.

Hi, Bryan and welcome to our forum! Since you will have 2 beardies in 1 tank for 2 weeks, I think your suggestions below are fine. The long way makes sense. Just keep in mind that some beardies go through relocation stress, so you may see this twice. The first time, when you bring them home and the second when you have their new homes....

And there are never two many questions...how can anyone learn if you don't ask questions?

Oh, and as far as temps and the megaray, you should be fine, but it's hard to say until your setup is complete and you are taking temps.

if you use cardboard it will need to be stiff cardboard that is in place firmly cause if they want to go through it they will find a way if possible. so you will need to tape it on three sided (ie bottom and both front panel and back panel of tank). If you have some wood you could cut to wedge in there or even a piece of plexi (with something attached to it so they cant see through) that would work as well.

Yes cardboard will be fine! You can use duct tape to secure it! I am doing this as a temp thing until this dragon goes this week! If you need help or pictures just let me no!! Good luck...

oh and make sure it is about 6 or more inches from the top cause the light you are using produce mass amounts of heat and you do not want to have cardboard sitting right on it.
