dexters feeling better.what was wrong?

Dexter wasn't eating for a wile and got pretty skinny. looked kind of depressed... Now he eats all the dubais I give him, aggressively grabs greens and squash from my Hand. Nipped me by accident and felt his teeth. started drinking water from a Dropper
Could he of been sick and now he feels better ? he's fattend up now and seems a lot better. only thing I changed was I used calcium with D3 instead of my calcium only. could he of had a vitamin deficiency?

How long if you been using the D3? It generally takes quite some time to notice a significant difference with a vitamin or mineral. Could've been just a funk. He might've had a beauty bug. Many many many guesses. Glad that he's better!

It was probably a funk. Mine do that when the weather has been yucky for a length of time. Almost like they get seasonal adjusting disorder.

Was your Dexter sleeping while he wasn't eating or napping more often? Could have gone through a semi-brumation.

No he would just kind of sit at his basking spot with his eyes half closed like he was depressed or something. I think he's too young to brumate*?. Still having an eye problem tho. Mostly every night I rinse his eye with saline and get this clear gunk out with a qtip. I wish I knew why this gunk/crust keeps forming. Iv been doing that offen for a pretty long time.. I know, time for a vet visit and parasite test. Orther than that hew fine. Mite be photo karot something? I forget what it's called but its from uvb exposure
