Hi there guys, so in the attatched photos you'll see my beloved beardie Pixie

Shes about 5 and a bit years old and for about a year or two she had a strange lump growing on her left side just below her neck

I did take her to the vets ofcourse and they said use antibiotics so i did, the vet also said if i wanted it removed then i could do so but for a hefty £300 cost which i cannot afford
I just want to clarify the lump hadnt affected her in any way, she was able to eat sleep play without any issue

Recently though the lump has deflated/popped so whatever was in it is gone, im just unsure as to what to do as the dead skin is still on her, and you know how dead skin can lead to infection(i think )

Any advice you guys can provide please, thankyou
Also in the photo theres a second lump lower down, small but growing, if anyone can provide any insight thankyou so much

yikes! that looks nasty. Is that a smaller lump lower down too? it just looks like a mass of necrotic tissue, if not for it bursting I would have thought it was a tumour of some kind. Looking at the size of it I think surgery is going to be the only option. Taking it off is going to leave a wound that will need sewing up and a lot of aftercare, antibiotics etc so infection doesnt set in. I would start saving for that op and in the meantime just try and keep your viv as sterile as possible. Remove poops straight away and any spilled food etc. I would also avoid irrigating a wound like that, so no baths, keep it as dry as you can.

I agree, that looks nasty. I see the other lump too. The skin by the deflated one might come off with the next shed but it might leave an open wound there when it comes off. I agree with saving up the money for surgery and get it done ASAP.

Honestly you need to take this dragon to a vet and have that necrotic wound off... Necrotic tissue will cause a serious blood infection and your dragon can go septic and can die slowly.. If it has been growing for a couple of years I would have had it addressed already. It can't feel good, if you can't provide vet care maybe think about rehoming her..
