Dark tail

I got this guy few weeks ago his tail is alittle dark and was wondering if it’s tail rot or just shedding appreciate the help!

Looks like it's going into shed- usually tail rot is caused by injuries like pinches bites etc-- the tail will dry out look brittle that is when to be concerned -

Thanks just new to this guy he seems to think there is another dragon in tank reflection should I get a background on tank or is it not a big deal?

The reflection will stress him out - you can look for backgrounds or use magazine pages newspaper construction paper but it needs to be placed on the outside of the tank and away from the heat bulbs- what size tank do you have him in now?
