Quick question as there is an abundance of dandelions in my garden are the leaves safe to feed if washed?

I personally do not take any chances feeding anything from outside. I just bought a huge batch of Dandelion Leaves from the local grocery store for $1.99. At that price why take a risk the leaves could have some chemicals on them from the backyard.

I pick them out of my yard ONLY because my yard is the only one I know is not treated with anything. Even knowing that I still wash them thoroughly. Alduin seems to love them.

I gotta agree with Ron G on this one. Greens are typically dirt cheap (pun somewhat intended). I myself do spray pesticides and weed killer on my yard but, even if I didn't, I wouldn't chance it because I have no idea what my neighbors put on their yards.
