Anyone else on this forum a cyclist or interested in cycling?

Just thought id ask seen as the Tour de France is coming up soon

Used to be. Participated in competitions every weekend. GR8 sport

Stopped when I was 8 months pregnant with my second son. Back issues became too much. But still enjoy the occasional cycling outing with my boys on the farm

I used to LOVE cycling. Still do when I can....it was my only mode of exercise for a long time.

Only time will tell with Lances new team. I know he's been accused of taking 'roids several times in the past...and to be honest, wouldn't be surprised to find out that the allegations are true. In today's world, the level of competition is so fierce that the pressure, I'm sure, is pretty high. I don't remember any time that he's been found guilty and hope that he's not. Only he, himself, and those that have been closest to him know whether or not it's true. I just hope, for cycling's sake, that the allegations are false. He has too great a story for it to all come crashing down. <---and yeah, the pun was intended. LOL!

Ye whether or not he did during his 7 in a row i dont know but i know he definitely didnt last year and still finished 3rd at the age of 37 (38 this year). Even if he did take EPO or was blood doping i mean you could pump any1 with that stuff and they woudln have been able to do wat he did and plus nearly every1 who challenged him in the tours from 1999-2006 was found guilty of taking EPO and he wasn.

Only bad thing bou July and the tour is only reli get t see the beardie when im givin him greens or feedin him roaches haha

Agreed. He claims to be the most tested athlete in the world. If that's so...and everything is legit during the testing, he's got to be clean. He's had a remarkable career. I'd hate to see it smeared by 'roids like our local Mark McGuire's.

LOL! You really ARE into it. I haven't been keeping up with it much over the last few years....so some of the news I read that's a few years old is still fresh to me.

Have you ever seen his exercise regimine? Lance's, I mean? Woah...even THAT is intense. I read about it in one of my Cycling magazine's a few years ago and couldn't believe what he does on a daily basis. The man's a machine!

Ye haha i mean just back form a 5 hour cycle with the club and im in bits wasn even that intense lik....

I cant believe what he did and still does to get to that level of fitness both physically and mentally i must take a few pics next time im ou (which unfortunately wont be till friday cuz of work) to show you guys what the climbs over here in Ireland are like...

Never have. My roots are Scottish, though. So I definitely have a desire to see that part of the world sometime. As I'm 40, now, the days for me to do so are dwindling.
