Custom enclosure

Getting mixed answers depending on where i read...... built a new enclosure for my sons dragon. We used sanded pine plywood and poplar. So i read pine is not good and gives off a toxin if not sealed. Well i planned on using a high grade primer/sealer and a paint on it........ so is this acceptable or do i need to toss the $300 in the fire wood pile?

I would think if its sealed itd be fine
