IDK if this is the right topic, maybe should be under temps but it has an impact on health too . . . but anyway

How to put it without confusing you all...

I use a CHE as it was winter and the house temps drop really low. Now that spring is approaching the temps are climbing again, although not enough to go without the emitter. It used to be on for 10 hours a night (From 8PM to 6 AM), then I took it to 10PM to 6 AM.

Now the temps in the house are still between 64-68F at around midnight (Not the 46-59 anymore) , so Im thinking of altering the timer to go on at 12AM and switch off at 6AM. My question is . . . I have read that they need a cooling off period daily to make their metabolism function properly. Will the period between 8PM and 12AM (cooling down to about 64 MAX) be OK or would it be better to make the timer go off at 4AM to let her cool before normal day time. The temps in the mornings are still a bit cool (averaging at 50F).

So I guess what I really want to know is WHEN should the cool period be ??? Just after she goes to sleep or before she wakes up ???

She seems to be going UNDER her platform a lot lately, till she is so cold I have to move her, thats what made me think she wants a longer cool period during her 24 hour cycle

Monique, those temps are within safe parameters. I'd personally forgo the CHE altogether.
Hope this helps.

Really, I didnt know it could go so low.... thought for anything below 64 you needed xtra heat. But if its OK Ill forego the CHE, will save on the power bill too ;D. Just dont wanna do her any harm by overheating or freezing her.
She went to under her platform this morninng at 7AM and at 1PM I removed her, she was just lying there Icy cold.
