So, I've read multiple different things on numerous sites and everything says something different. I have been feeding Bayne crickets, superworms, rarely waxworms, collard greens, turnip greens, and mustard greens. He also occasionally gets yellow squash and mango. The last time I went to buy supers, they only had large ones so I've been cutting them into thirds and he eats them. He also poo's daily. Now I've read and been told by my vet and the guy at the pet store not to feed him even small dubias because the shell is hard for them to digest at his age. I just read the same thing about Superworms today. I also read today that even hatchling beardies can eat small dubias. What is the truth? I will post a picture of Bayne on a DVD case so you can get an idea of his size. I bought him from Petco and they were unsure of his age. He also had "3cm" of his tail amputated due to tail rot (which he's recovering from awesomely!)

Everybody has their opinions :) superworms do have chitlin shell but it is softer than mealworms which should not be fed, but you do need to be watchful to make sure they are not huge for him to eat, most bite them in half anyways..
Dubia's are edible at ALL phases of their lifespan the nymphs up to juv do not have a hard shell. The adult roach does have some semi hard shell around their head but are still edible. The concern on Roaches is don't feed an adult roach to a young small dragon as they may try to swallow it before chewing it well enough to swallow so it gets stuck mainly the head because of the before mentioned..
Bayne is big enough to eat roaches especially small nymphs and I would say up to a nickel sized juv pretty easily..
The key is the space between the eyes is what should be given..
Hope that helps you are doing just fine! Bayne is going to have a great life with you! If you haven't taken a look at the links on many of our signature lines do there are several food links most of us use and feed by..

I just spent $32 on "200" crickets. There's no way there are 200 crickets even in the bag. I ordered 1,000 from flukers and they all arrived dead. 150 lasted about four-five days, many of them died. Where do you all order from?

When I fed and raised crickets I got mine from Armstrong crickets they always were good and great customer service.
But now I do dubia from Brandon he's got good rates and they have all been great quality.

The thing I like most about Petco is that you can get small medium or large crickets (when they have them) I like to get the small or medium, the large start to stink after a couple days and a couple of them get away in the cage and make noise all damn night so I don't like to mess with them anymore. You can also get Dubais there and see the size and if any are dead, just to see how your beardie lies them. My dragon and chameleon tear them up. They are expensive at Petco though so I ordered some online recently. I was feeding my dragon the smaller roaches when he was much smaller than your dragon.
Beautiful colors on your dragon also

I had the same thing with flukers I was so upset. Try to find the closest cricket co. To your house. Rainbow is who I use and it's 1000 for 14.00 way more affordable.

If I bought 2000 crickets from petco it would cost 330.00 bucks I pay 32.00 for 2000 at rainbow crickets. I hate math but I'm glad I did that equation.
