Her mouth looks chipped and the bottom of her chin looks like a patch of scales is missing? I’ve spoken with Sadie I believe and I’ve already ordered the new lights and it says it will be in on Saturday but I just want to make sure those two things aren’t anything serious.

If you're sure that nothing fought your beardie inflicting damage that caused the patch on the bottom of her neck, then it looks like a burn injury. Is it possible? Was she exposed to anything?

If she was attacked or burned, then she should heal up with normal care since unless there is some infection.

The crooked jaw looks like it is either damage from the same fight (unless you're sure that no fight occurred) or actually metabolic bone disease as that would warp the lower jaw. Go ahead and Google the full symptoms of MBD and see if that fits. If it does, then it would be correct to get new UVB lights and make sure to supplement her food generously with calcium dust.

Got it. We are getting new lighting and that is coming in on Saturday but no fights. When we give crickets we watch and take them out after 10-15 mins. She lays on her log that is for basking but the highest them temp goes is 91 sometimes 92 (again that’s one of the reasons why we are getting new lightings and appropriate ones) or I have her on my chest or let her roam on carpet in my room that has nothing that could hurt her. But you say it will heal eventually?

Well, then I have no idea how that bald patch could have happened. If you left her in the backyard to soak up some rays and she had to fight off a rat/squirrel, it could have happened in a moment or if she's co-habiting her enclosure with a tankmate, they could have had a short tussle. If you let her roam the living room floor and she rested her chin on some overheating laptop charger or some smaller electronic device, it could have led to the bald patch. If you rule out everything I said, then I don't know about the patch but the jaw could be MBD which you must take care of post haste with the new lights and calcium. As for the healing, I'm sure she'll heal up fine to the point where it won't bother her, but if that patch will grow perfect scales and be completely unnoticeable or result in scar, I don't know.

Will she be fine until I get them Saturday? I bought them online since stores around me didn’t have what I needed.

Yeah, if she has MBD, then we're talking about a chronic, not acute illness. They go downhill slowly; they don't suddenly die like from a heart attack.

The log she lays on, is it sharp? Is there anything in the enclosure that your beardie could have got a little scrape on?

Not sure if you will see but I replied above showing what the log she basks on. And there really isn’t anything else in there that would be sharp. I have another log that’s shorter and rounder but she barely goes on there. I try and make sure to be very careful with her. I’m not sure how she could have got scrapped. Maybe the basking spot is too roughy you think? Maybe she could have rubbed herself on there? If that’s the case does that mean I need to remove it or is it okay to have that in there?

Has she shed recently? You can see on my profile pic, my guy has two little spots that are missing scales on his beard. He did that himself scraping his shed off on his log. I saw one of them happen and saw the little piece of new scale handing in his shed right after he got done aggressively rubbing. Was wondering if that spot on her chin could be from the same sort of thing.?.

Maybe? I haven’t seen her shed yet but hopefully soon. Will baths help shedding? Also how often are you supposed to bathe?

Hi; we rescue and rehome. Your Beardies temp needs to be 95-100 for an adult Beardie. Also u need a basking platform the log should be placed in the middle of the tank on the back to get away from the hot & be at a medium lesser temp as a break. Buy him a hammock & place a soft terry cloth on top of it so underneath can be his hideaway to get away from the uvb & to rest; buy a fleece blanket to olace inder so it’s a cozy bed they love fleece/soft. place hammock on the hot side behind the basking light; not too high so he can climb some Beardies are older/weak & were not given proper uvb so they need soft things in the tank so they don’t injure themselves. U need only 2lights for Beardies during the day a Reptisun 10.0 T5 for UVB ( Which needs replacing every 6Mnths); the length u order has to cover 70 percent of the tank and a CLEAR zoomed basking bulb for Heat. In the winter u leave them both on 10-12 hours & in the summer 12-14 hours per day. At night pure dark and quiet u can buy a ceramic heat emitter 60watt for warmth at nite. Never ever use coiled or colored bulbs. The Reptisuns are not offered at petco or Petsmart only at fancy pet stores, breeding reptile stores, Amazon, wallmart and Carolina costum cages. U can feed Dubia roaches also ans always a plate of greens/veggies everyday. Mustard, collard greens, dandelions, yellow squash, butternut squash, endives, snap peas & green beans cut them up for him too obviously. Hope this helps but get the temp up the best for heat is zoomed clear basking bulb if u have a 40gallon tank that’s 18inchea high; u should use a 75 or 100 watt and olace Beardie 12-14 inches from it that’s why u buy a basking platform or soft pet pillows to raise him to be close to the heat about 10-12 inches mine are 14 away from an 18inch high cage & my temp in the home is set for 70 degrees

I think bathing may vary according to beardie. I've heard lots of dos and donts. During a shed I try to give him a soak every day just to help soften it up and help it come off easier (and it's the only time he seems to actually want to be in the water). Otherwise, I only tend to give him a bath every third day as he's not very fond of them.

Some say every day, others say every other day, a few more say once a week. I varied his bathing schedule until I found one that worked for both of us — every 3 days. lol
