His color changing can be a result of either diet or age. Probably age if he's been alive that long. It shouldn't be a worry if you're taking care of him properly but you can always take him to a vet to be extra sure!

Do u have the Reptisun UVB 10.0 T5 covering 70 percent of the tank? And have u been replacing it every 6months religiously? And do u have the ZooMed clear basking bulb for Heat? No colored bulbs ever. He prolly doesn’t have the right UVB; please change that ASAP. And at nite no light at all; they like it pure dark. And never ever any colored bulbs. It burns their eyes. Also; he mite be shedding but if lethargic and not eating take it to the vet for a blood test ASAP

Yes it needs to be the Reptisun 10.0 T5 & uvb/heat on for 12-14 hours in the summer and 10-12 in the winter. Try and keep the same lights on time and lights off time so he just wake up at 8, 9 or 10? Mine are up at 7:30 and lights of at 7:30-8:30. And this Reptisun can be ordered on amazon or wallmart website or some unique pet stores have it. Petco & Petsmart don’t; they have the T8 10.0 & never buy the 5.0 it barely emits uvb. How’s his poop? Solid long tubular ovals like a cat? If watery or runny or diagreah; u need to do a stool sample with a reptile vet it’s around $46 only to check for parasites but loss if color is sometimes detected by blood for any issues. Is he eating and pooping daily? bathing him 2-3 times per week in lukewarm dechlorinated water? Feeding the right protein? Crickets and Dubias and u can do some super or hornworms; & No spinach, kale or lettuce. Dandelions, mustard/collard greens, yellow sqauasg butternut squash, snap peas and green beans for the greens and veggies. And stay away from sugar, sugar in minimal amounts is ok for them some mango, papaya and a few blueberries is the best staple fruits I do a feel once a week or twice a month. But google till u find the right vet & ask the receptionist if he’s good with Beardies how long he’s been practicing Etc. also, humidity has to be 30-40 and never higher but he mite have a parasite so def do a stool sample ASAP.

Pictures would be useful. The things said above are definitely reasonable, I'm with them. But it could also be shed prep. If it looks clouded over rather than really loss of color, it could just be shed that hasnt peeled up yet. Good luck.

Lots of baths to help the potential shedding of it is that otherwise a stool sample to rule out parasites but find a good vet ASAp. Call and say u need a container to drop off stool sample garb it right when he poops keep it in a ziplock of ice and race it over to the vet. It cannot be hot warm or dried up
