Just restocking lights and fixtures for winter time. Last year I used the chi heat but didn't save box so don't even know wattage I need. I have a 75 gal tank and my Bud is 15 mo old. Also what is the best fixture? Thanks in advance.

I just ordered some che bulbs and fixtures for winter as well. My thinking was that the wattage didnt matter so much as they are thermostaically controlled, so I went for 100w che's. The ceramic lamp holder will take up to 200w (komodo). If you have a Pulse proportional thermostat, rather than an on/off it will increase the bulb life from months to possibly years.

I sit mine atop his screen top. The fixture I have had a dimmer type switch. So do you think 100 watt?

I suppose it depends on how cold your house gets in winter. I would get the highest wattage that your fixture will take if its on a dimmer, that way you can lower the power till the temp is right rather than risk getting one that isnt powerful enough.
