Finally got a Beardie! Wanted one for years. This Veteran’s day the timing was right, and my new baby Chesty Puller came home with me. I’ve been looking at websites left and right, and none of them say exactly the same thing. I think he’s a male, but I’m not positive. Most things I’ve read say you can’t really tell till they’re 6 months old or so and the Pet store said he’s about 3 months old. He/she? looks healthy, is bright and alert and eating well, is calm when handled and seems to like his new home so I suppose I’ll just wait a while and see how he develops. Don’t really have any pressing questions right now, but hopefully I’m in the right place to ask them when they come up. Just excited to say I’m a Beardie person!

I think my boy was 8 or 9 inches before I could determine his gender with 100% certainty. He's darkly colored, so the flashlight method never worked for me.
