Ceramic bulb

On recommendation I got a ceramic bulb for the colder times and as we transition into fall I've noticed that the colder days mean Chichi doesn't really want to do much. I'd love to give her even just an hour of heat to warm up every day and get her going, but I was told I need a wire enclosure for the bulb to avoid blow outs and I can't find them anywhere. What would someone here recommend? The old red bulb was in a deep dome and the packaging said to never ever put a bulb in that.

She should have 10-12 hours of heat a day. I've never heard of a CHE not being able to be put in a dome fixture. Hopefully someone that uses CHE's can chime in and let you know what they use. It gets cold by me in the winter but we keep our house around 72. The lowest the tanks get is around 64 and that is still
good for night time temps. You don't want the tank warm 24/7, they need a temp drop to regulate their body.

I found the fixture at petsmart. Her tank is usually around 90f on the warm side and 80-85 on the cool side once it gets warm. She has a basking bulb and a uvb but it seems like I need the extra boost to get the tank where it's supposed to be a bit faster so she gets that full 10-12 hours.

For my Beardie Puff, he has a basking light on one side, a uvb tube, and a ceramic heat emitter on the other side. I have mine set to a timer, so the bask and the uvb turn on at 9am, and off at 9pm, which then turns on his CHE.

You want your basking light and UVB to be on the same side. Beardies seak heat out with the third eye on top of their head. They are drawn to the bright white basking spot. The high temp of the basking spot along with the UVB bulb, helps the body process D3 and calcium.

I wasn't very clear as to where Puffs UVB is, but it covers a bit over half his tank. And overlaps with his basking bulb.
