We have 3 cats, one if which is an 18 lb Maine Coon! The normal tricks wont work here, i am trying to find a METAL screen as my big floof is causing the mesh screen to come undone! I cant keep them away or off the top. The screen wont last much longer...(currently have in bedroom with door shut but cant sleep well because of the UVB.)

Where can i get a durable top for my terrarium? (The design i have currently the screen slides into place rather than sets on top)

I think uvb should be shut off at night! Not sure because I'm not an expert but thats what I do! And I bought my metal screen from Amazon for about 30 dollars! So far so good!

We do have his light off at night now, I added a ceramic heater for night! Is the screen actually strong? Im asking because 1st night the cat almost pushed the screen out of the frame by standing on it!

If you're willing to upgrade your tank, many enclosures come with a solid, sturdy top and have grills in the side for ventilation. They're a lot more cat proof than a tank with a screen top.

According to multiple reviews, this screen top is strong enough to handle cats (one person said it can hold 3 big floofs sitting on it at once):
Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but I've held them before and they're pretty sturdy.

Oh no! Yes, mine is strong. You just have to find one with good reviews. I got the zilla 55 gallon tank screen. And it seems very durable. So maybe go for zilla or zoo med

This is a last resort option cause it is drastic, if u put aluminum foil on top of the tank it will really freak out ur cats and they wont want to be on it, cats like the smell of beardies so u need to make his tank unhostpitable for ur floofs
