Can leopard geckos make bearded dragons sick?

Hey guys, so I do not have a bearded dragon.. But I am looking to get one in the future. The only thing stopping me from getting one now, is because of a comment the worker at petsmart made. It was back when I bought my first leopard gecko..I was looking at the bearded dragons as well. The lady told me if I were to get a beardie too, I would have have to wash my hands after holding the leopard gecko..and before holding the bearded dragon, because leopard geckos excrete something through their skin, that is fatal to beardies... However I have been doing tons of research, and can't seem to find anything at all about it. I've even asked other people who worked at a different petsmart, and they had never heard of it. So if you guys can help clear this up for me I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong spot. I'm new, and this is my first post. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I can't find anything either. I believe that viruses are species specific meaning you can't get an RI from your bearded dragon. I know that they both can get coccidia but I don't know if it's the same strain and bacterial skin infections like yellow fungus is highly contagious between dragons but I don't know if that can be passed to a different reptile.

It's always good to practice good husbandry, clean up after every poop if possible. That includes poop that they may have smeared on the glass of of their tank and on their body. Clean up bits of salad on the floor of the tank, don't leave dead insects and change the any water bowls daily. It's good to wash your hands between handling of all reptiles even between two geckos if they are housed separately. We have 3 bearded dragons, 5 frogs and a chameleon. I wear gloves to clean up poops, changing the gloves between tanks and we use hand sanitizer between handling of each lizard.

There are lots of people that keep geckos and bearded dragons and geckos and chameleons and chameleons and bearded dragons, passing disease has never been an issue.

I couldn't find anything either on this, I think if I were to house different reptiles I would ask my reptile vet what I should be concerned with while housing them and what can pass from 1 to another.. Even if you don't have a vet yet I would contact one and ask questions..

I have two leopard geckos and a bearded dragon
Their tanks are on opposite sides of the room and I've had no problems what's so ever I wash my hands In between handling them and if I had to guess the only problem I can think of is if one of them has mold or something on them and you don't wash your hands in between handles

Don't leo's like more humid environments? so wouldn't they be more prone to spreading mold issues to he beardies?

Thanks for all the reponses. It has been bugging me not knowing..considering I can't find anything about it. And everyone I have asked has never heard of it. I atleast thought I'd find something about it on google. I just figured maybe she was new, and wasn't sure what she was talking about or perhaps got mixed up on other species or something.
