Can i buy a baby from a pet store for $59 or do i have to spend $300 from a private breeder. i know this might sound weird most of my "Home Farm" dogs and fish treated well but have been fine and still are my best friends.

You can get one from a pet store but you may want to ask some key questions before buying. See where their stock comes from. Observe the animals before you buy. Maybe even ask for them to feed the lizards in front of you if you're buying that day.

Avoid big box pet stores (i.e, Petco and Petsmart) because their dragons typically come from mills or are bred at the shop and are badly inbred. ADV spreads like wildfire in those stores. Look for smaller and/or family-owned stores that specialize in exotic pets. You can also go to a reptile expo when it's safer to do so if you aren't in a hurry.

I got mine at pet smart for 56$ (he was on sale so they might be 125$) but they are literally always stocked with bearded dragons as nobody buys them anymore (but of course when I want one they're sold out) anyway Im rambling
