Hi,

Just wondering, we have between 3-5 Bush babies living in our garage. They are toooo cute.
They have been living there for the past 3 years (Since we moved in) and play in the trees on the plot, or on my cars roof LOL.

BUT

The past 3 nights, they have decided that the roof of the house (Above our bedroom to be more specific) and window covers are a GR8 place to play between 23H00 and 04H00

Havent slept much due to this. I really love having them around, but does anyone have any ideas on how to hoax them away from the house at night?

I dont want to go out and yell or anything as I'm afraid they'll go away and not come back.

Down under...
Have you tried putting up a fabric hawk, owl or that sort ? Those are the babies natural enemies in the air..
Just a thought.

I also didn't know what one was but they sure do have HUGE eyes. They are cute though.

Thanks Janie for posting the picture.

Oh wow where do you live?

Rayton, South Africa

No havent thought of that... but scared it will chase them away forever, just want them off the roof of the house. Its so cool when we braai and they are running around, curious little things, playing in the trees while we sit and watch.

What's a "bush baby"?

OK, sorry guess that one is sorted eyh?

None of them have tried to bite us, although last winter we lost 2 due to being electrocuted by our power line. They would play in the nearby trees and jump to the power lines and get electrocuted. Shame, it was just a HUGE BANG and NO POWER.... When we went to see what was going on . . .found one dead on the ground :'(. Got the power fixed and the next day . . same thing. So the power company logically thought we were pulling their sox, till we showed them the bodies. They fixed the power and we cut the BIG tree growing near the lines so they cant get up there anymore. No incidents since then .

Last night was better though, house playtime was only from 22H00 till 23H00. Guess it may have been a temporary thing . .. At least I hope, time will tell.
