Brumation?

Do juveniles go through brumation? Puff is about 7-8 months now and has been growing very well. He is up to 256grams. However, this past week mainly he has been eating significantly less protein so he has lost several grams. He continues to eat his greens which he loves (dandelion) It is cold here but I keep my house at 72 downstairs where he is. I keep checking his cage temps with a IR gun. His basking spot is approx 110. Uvb overlaps like it should. He is still active.
Is it normal for appetite to come and go like this?

If he’s losing weight I would have a vet check him out. If it is brumation, you want to make sure that he doesn’t have any parasites or other issues that will make him lose too much weight while he’s sleeping.

I'll take a fecal sample in tomorrow. I tested one several months ago that was clear. I am a vet but am still very much learning about bearded dragons.
On a positive note, he did eat better today.

It could be that he's just doing a partial brumation, just slowing down as they sense the weather changes but with him still being young and still growing..My female did that her 1st brumation..now she will sleep for weeks then up a week then down again.. My male slept for 77 days now he's up and lookin' for love... sigh..
But yes rule out parasites again then if clear just make sure environment is good then let him do what comes natural.
