My berdie has been spending more time in his hide than usual. But he seems not to mind when I take him out. Not sure if that's ok if he is starting to brumate?

Lets go over the surface basking temps and how your taking them? Next UVB? coil or long tube and where is it at? How old is it? Incorrect lighting can cause this behavior but this is the time of year they start brumating - Here is some info on brumation but we want to make sure the lighting is on par --

Temp is about 90. There's a temp Guage right next to the hottest part. My uvb bulb is a tube, but it is over 6 months old. So I'll swap that out tomorrow.

Surface basking temps need to be 95-100 taken w/ a digital probe thermometer- the uvb is a T 5 or T 8 and where is it? Top of screen or inside the tank? What is the brand please?

Arcadia t5 on top of the screen
Is your screen a wide hole type? Or a fine mesh like a screen door? That would block 30% of the rays- it would need to go into the tank directly above the basking decor 12-15 inches
