Hi everyone! My beardie has been brumating since November. He's a long napper, likes his hiding spot and his cold side. Every now and then he will wake up and want to eat, and I let him, trusting that he knows whats up with his body. I rescued him from dire circumstances, nursed him back to health, and he's been doing great.

He's eaten twice in the last two weeks and HASN'T POOPED. I bathed him 3 times with no results.

He won't bask, so I'm worried the food isn't digesting.
Help!

Good for you on rescuing him and nurturing him back to health! I think many of our beardies have been sleeping alot longer than normal.
What are you feeding? is he not going up to bask? will he stay basking afterwards for at least an hour?
If you haven't already offer him some nice juicy hornworms, butterworms, shredded cuc's, keep up with the nice warm baths and dribble water on his nose.. How long are you soaking him in the tub?

He's reluctant to bask, his temp is about 99-102 on his rock. He soaks for about 10-15 minutes in the tub and drank water last time. Ill bathe him again today and see if he can get anything moving. Ill go get cucumbers too, high in water.

Yea I would increase the time in the tub and maybe make the water warmer than you usually do. You can also gently massage his belly more towards the right side (you may be able to see if his belly bulges to 1 side or the other) but again be gentle.
I know when my Izzy has held out pooping for 5 days with not alot in her belly she still took a long long hot soak before she finally went..
Just keep trying and as long as he's not loosing weight, taking in some food/water he will poop....

If he's gone a long time without pooping you can use pure 100% pumpkin from a can or baby food prunes. Just a little bit at a time though, it usually gets things flowing.
