I own two beardies (one male, one female, both of breeding age) and I was wondering if the behaviors they are displaying are normal. For example, they share a tank and get along just fine, and just a little while ago my female took off from one side of the tank to the other and started nipping at the male's face and he promptly mounted her but I'm not positive if they are breeding or not! He's been mounting her a lot lately but I don't think he's actually doing the deed. They are never aggressive to each other except when he's trying to mount her and he'll just nip a little at her face. Should I take her to a vet to see if she's pregnant or what? Any answers would be awesome!

I don't breed beardies I breed leopard geckos but from what I understand they are very similar if it is your feamales first time they are usually very agressive to being bred
