Do Dubies nymphs fly? Im kinda on the fence as to starting a colony. Also how many Dubies do the adult Beardies eat a day? Cuz I will only have one Dragon at a time......Oh and Missy my sweetheart beagle.

Thanx, Edd

No they don't. Only adult males have wings and they don't fly

I breed Dubia and no they can't fly per say the males are the only ones with wings and the only "flight" that they can do is more of a controlled fall lol

Crazy question but can bearded dragon eat male/females? Just wondering when I buy if not trying to start colony but if he happens...or do I just buy males or just females?

fine to eat either! Dubia are edible all the stages of life the only thing I do is if I feed off and adult male I cut the wings off as they hold no nutritional value

I haven't noticed wings on the males does it have to be a certain size to have wings?

Probably not worth it if you only have one adult beardie.... i started my colony when my beardie was small, and he was eating 30+ a day! Now he is an adult and eats maybe 20-30 a week. But I have other reptiles I feed them to so it works out. I have a small colony I am now keeping at lower temps to discourage crazy breeding, as I don't need a whole lot.
