My bearded dragon is about 6 years old and has been having some breathing issues lately. Today she started breathing really heavily out of one lung compared to the other, and has small moments where she isn't breathing at all but slightly opens her mouth. She had a bad fall recently where she jumped out of my arms after some thunder spooked her, and I'm worried she might've been injured though this didn't start until a couple days after. I'll deep clean her enclosure today in case it's a respiratory issue, and I mainly just want to know if we need to take her to the vet. She hasn't turned her beard dark at all, which is good I think. I might be able to upload a video or a couple of photos if it could be helpful

I can't tell if this is on the wrong forum or if that's my account age lol
Please record a video on you tube post the link of her breathing- she may have internal injuries from the fall- please go over your uvb brand and bulb placement of it and your surface basking temps and how your getting them- out vet tech is going to need to address this issue

the items closest to her lamps are pretty comfortable for my hand to sit on, they're currently soaking in the tub to be disinfected though. I'll replace her uvb light soon since I think it's getting close to that time, but I'm unsure which brand is best for uvb. I take her outside a lot to get actual sun as well. I have her heatlamp on one side and the uvb on the other since I can't afford the long lamps yet (I'm applying to jobs to save up for one soon) She often switches sides and gets a good amount of time on both sides. I can dust her food with calcium more often if it's needed too

Coil uvb? They are inadequate and it's good she's getting the natural sunlight this has helped her all this time- please replace it w/ a zoo med 24" hood w/ a reptisun 10.0 T 5 or a arcadia pro T 5 12% bulb- I can post websites if you like- calcium should be dusted on the insects 2-3 times per week lightly coated- the coil will not help her absorb /or synthesize the calcium - the coil is critical for her health overall - I have sent your post to Tracie

I couldn't get the temperature since I started washing them before I thought to, but I do check it with my hand often to make sure it's comfortable to where I could keep my hand on it for prolonged periods of time. once the logs are dried out and her cage is clean I can put them in for a day and get the actual temperature though.

Them? What are you using to get temps? Digital probe thermometer is the most accurate surface basking temps 95-100 - ambient temps 100-

I couldn't get the exact temperature of her basking spots, or did you mean the temperature of that side of the cage? the warm side is about 90 deg F and the cool side is about 55-60 depending on the day (I would normally use one of those digital thermometers but the basking logs are soaking right now lol)

Digital probe thermometer needs to be placed on the spot where he sits for basking- you dont need to leave the probe there but long enough to get a accurate temp 95-100- cool side of the tank should be 80ish during he day those temps off 55-60 are way to cold for the dragon those would put the dragon into brumation - you dont want temps below 65 at NIGHT -- here are the links for UVB's there are 3 of them please choose one of them
these are all 24" fixtures for a tank of 40 + gallon
https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...o-med-reptisun-t5-hood?variant=26907425734756 you want the Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb -- it comes w/ the 5.0
22" https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...d-reptisun-10-0-uvb-t5?variant=26907418591332
you want the 2 ft or 24" fixture - change the bulb out to the Reptisun posted above
When you get the UVB please let me know post back on here and I will help you get it set up for the tank - the screen on the tank is going to determine where the UVB needs to go
