How often should I being holding my beardie for him to fully start to trust me? I have had him since Feb. 16 -- so I think he is between 7 and 9 weeks old. Right now I get him out a bit in the evenings, and usually for just a few minutes in the morning. Each time is probably only 5 minutes or less. Is this too little? Thanks!

Start gradually increasing the time. If you are doing 5 minutes now start doing 10 minutes then 15 and so on. Like Mushu said, watch for signs of him getting stressed or too cold.

Thank you both! I will try extending the time...beyond his color darkening, or him acting agitated (opening his mouth at me -- which he's only ever done once) -- is there anything else that I should watch? He has fallen asleep on me before and I typically cover him up to make sure he stays warm until I put him back, if that happens.

I think that's it, if he gets too agitated or tries to bite or feels too cold then you should put him back.
