I've been quiet for a little while so you know that means I'm going to bombard you all with pictures now!

I've taken Precious to the pet store twice. It's funny because online it seems there are more beardeds in Precious's coloring but I have not seen any her color in the pet stores I've been to in this area, they're all dark leatherbacks. The pet store employees go crazy about her coloring saying she's so rare and beautiful lol. Even had one employee tell me he's got an incubator and a boy that he would love to breed with her. Wanted me to consider the idea...but that will never happen, could never have Precious babies being sold in a pet store! I don't even remember what the person I got Precious from said she was. I think citrus smooth, does that sound right?

Anyway, Precious really tugged at my heart strings the last time I took her to the pet store. When we got back to the car, I went to put her in her carrier and she kept spreading out and trying to stop me from putting her in so I put a blanket on the passenger seat and let her sit there. It was very sunny, the sun was hitting directly that spot. She actually loves being in the car as far as I can tell, is very curious about it. So when she seemed settled, I was ready to start driving off when all of a sudden she went to the edge of the passenger seat closest to me and then jumped over the middle section onto my lap. She eventually got on my leg, stretched herself out and went into basking position. She was completely content on my leg...so much so that I actually drove home with her right there (I know, I'm a reckless mom!). I loved that as soon as she was with me, she seemed comfortable. Where she was, she could actually peek out the window at times. She would get a little concerned when a loud motorcycle went by, but I'd pet her and tell her it's ok and she'd relax again. It was really a true bonding moment for us, I think. I'm usually second fiddle to my son who has always seemed to be her #1, it made me feel special.
Anyway, here are pics:

With the weather being nicer, I've been opening the back door a lot for the animals to enjoy.

Precious tried to walk right through the screen a couple times before she figured out she can't go lol.

Such a great moment with her in the car. She looks so proud being on your lap like she went to the pet store and she made people happy her mission was completed! I love taking Dexter to the pet store. They always faun all over her. One of the workers asked if we would breed Luci and Dexter because they wanted a Luci/Dexter baby. I was like "yeah, NO!"

I started crying though when I saw the picture of Precious with the cat. My boyfriend reminded me last night that today is the 6mo anniversary of Cleo's passing. She was a big black cat that loved to look out the door and sit with the lizards. Seeing that your cat does the same thing brought back all those good memories.

Oh Patsy, I didn't mean to make you cry! I'm so sorry about Cleo! My cat is up there in age and looks every bit of it but she's doing ok. I know my time with her is limited though. She's gotten arthritic and used to stand at the stairs and meow, waiting for someone to take her up and down. Now she just stays on the first floor. She still puts the other cats in their place when it's feeding time though! She seems to like (or tolerate) Precious better than anyone else I think because Precious is quieter and doesn't move around as much...and doesn't try to steal her food!

It's okay it was all good memories of Cleo! She was 16 when she passed we had her since she was about a year or so. She was arthritic also but I think it was because she was so big so it was hard for her to climb like she used to. She didn't really seek the lizards out but if they happened to be somewhere that she wanted to be she was happy to sit with them and let them climb on her. She was our "middle child" so when the other cats would fight she would run and get in between to break them up. She'd also come running to me if I screamed, she was like the protector!
