She's not in pain, she's not stressed (She's super friendly and cuddly rn..), not male, not territorial.. Why is she blackbearding always? Is it because of shedding?
They dont black beard for no reason and shedding --- lighting--- seeing reflections ---other dragons--- other animals sitting next to a window where they can see outside and other birds will all cause black beardingShe's not in pain, she's not stressed (She's super friendly and cuddly rn..), not male, not territorial.. Most likely shedding then.. She always lights up and runs over when she sees my dog, and she does it even with a towel over her area. They dont black beard for no reason and shedding --- lighting--- seeing reflections ---other dragons--- other animals sitting next to a window where they can see outside and other birds will all cause black bearding
Partial. I've never seen her go jet black, even when loud noises are going on outside. How black is it? Partial or jet black?
She's been doing it since I got her, even when showing positive signs.Something has her upset or uncomfortable.
Any other animals in the house? What size enclosure and lighting do you use? Any bugs lose in her enclosure?
Just some possibilities so we can start ruling out scenarios.
What size enclosure and what brands of lights do you use? Is it a linear UVB or the coil bulb? What is her basking temperature? Also, do you have ways of checking the humidity? She's been doing it since I got her, even when showing positive signs.
Other animals: My dog, who has never interacted with or been near her.
Size enclosure + lighting: Just the ones she came with from HER OLD OWNER (NOT petco, any other unreliable pet store)
Bugs: Nope, she eats worms out of her food bowl and I watch carefully.
I'm not sure, and Reptisun(whatever it's called). Linear, temperature 100°, I don't think so. I'm 60% it's from shedding, though. What size enclosure and what brands of lights do you use?
