So yeah Cookie ofc normally has a very nice white belly with kind of black circles all underneath? Anyway I looked at him this morning just after he awoke and his lights came on and his belly was rather black... Not his beard but it was the same colour as when I've seen adults make there beard black. I know this can be a sign of stress and he is in the process of starting a shed atm is that most likely the cause? I mean he's not showed any signs of stress, illness or anything before now. Okay his eating wasn't the best however it's much better now he's put on lots more weight than when i got him. He looks very healthy now I think... He's also pooing like a trooper, eating his salad, insects, basking all the time and often chilled in his plants...

Thanks, Adam.

Sorry to make a second post thought I best give an update on what's going on... So yeah after writing the first post I thought I should go give him his morning bath and that all went fine his belly actually went from black to white again. He had a little play and a soak and I was getting him out luckily! Just placed him on a piece of kitchen tissue to dry him off and he started on a giant poo! D: I was impressed it was bigger than his leg... Anyway he got a lil tired after pushing it out and just kinda looked at me. Then yeah his belly was perfectly white again now which just his natural circles, upon placing him back in his viv tho he started to turn black again though... =/ What do people think? Is this normal? Or am I gonna need a vet trip? I really could do without vet bills already lol >_< If the little guy needs it though so be it...

Thanks, Adam.

Let's take a second look at his enclosure.
Basking, warm side, cool side temps, and how you measure them.
Uvb, which kind and brand are you using ?
Distance from basking spot.
Heat lamp, distance from basking spot.
Substrates.
A new picture might help out too...
This will allow many eyes to see what yours might be missing.
Thanks !

Okay, so pic of his viv...

The high end on his basking spot tends to be around 105F. His cooler side I can't give a temp cause I don't have a thermometer there yet, it's cooler though I can feel the difference. The light I'm using is an Exo Terra 10.0 Desert.

Ain't too easy to see him inside with the first pic so I took a second, easier to see him there.

Right, now for the blackness... It's gone down now but can still be seen, here is a head and belly shot...

I sorry for the bad quality but I'm using my iPhone. I don't have a better camera to use and that's the best I can do... You can still kinda see it tbh it's not much better in person, so yeah. I know in the pic of his head you can only see it about half way down his head but that's cause he has a piece of shed skin there blocking the view.

Couple of size shots... and finally he was posing for the cam so why not?... :')

Everything looks fine, I remember you are getting in a new tube.
All in all, lights come on, it takes time for the temps to get up.
I think things are fine. All you need is time, patience.
Hope that helps!

LOL...what a cutie. I think he looks great. Don't forget in the morning when the lights come on they are darker in color. That is so they can absorb the light. I think you are doing a great job getting everything just right.

Thanks all, yes he is adorable :) me and my gf love him to bits! He loves being held now he'll happily walk onto my hands and we've had walks in the garden and stuff let him catch some real rays. He also lets me check him out as you can see in the pics I needed him to stand up so I could see his belly and he was happy too. He still has a moment or two when he may jump when he thinks he's on his own or sommin but yeah lol. Also he LOVES dubia roaches! My first lot arrived today and it took me a while to actually get one down him but he loved it! So much so when he saw the tub with them all in he nearly fell out the viv he ran and jumped at it so fast! >_<

He is doing much better then my baby...he will let me pick him up but he will quickly turn into an Australian flying lizard if I do not keep my thumb on his shoulders. I can not believe how much distance he can get. The first time he jumped at least 6 feet across the room. I was in shock for a second then had to catch him before the dog did so now he only comes out when dog is outside.
