Hello everybody,
Every year I come up with a trip for my boyfriend's birthday and this year I was thinking the Poconos but I wanted to hear your input. Anyone from PA or know about PA know some nearby places that would be fun and relatively inexpensive? His birthday is in November so I guess weather is a factor but I was thinking Great Wolf Lodge or something along the lines of that. It doesn't have to be PA but I want to keep it around 2 hours driving. We'd be staying at a hotel most likely so thats not a problem. If you guys have any ideas that would be so helpful!

I used to live in the Poconos. I'm not sure if it's still open or not but you can try Bushkill Falls (great place to hike and see waterfalls), Claws n' Paws Zoo in Lake Ariel, The Pocono Snake and Animal Farm in East Stroudsburg, Pepe's Italian resteraunt (East Stroudsburg) is a good place for dinner, Alaska Pete's (Marshals Creek) is a great place to eat too, there's an outdoor flea market on 209 in Marshals Creek that's nice

No problem! I lived about 10 minutes from Bushkill Falls and used to go all the time. Admission was free for me since I lived in Bushkill. There's 3 or 4 waterfalls you can hike up to. Some are short trails and others are like a mile or more if I'm not mistaken. They still may be open for the season. There's also a place called Fernwood Resorts in Bushkill. They have an arcade, horseback riding and bumper boats and a couple other things too. Just about everything in the East Stroudsburg, Marshals Creek and Bushkill area is on 209
