I think it kept too much moisture and it settled out and in the bottom so i had to suction the excess water. That was also my first time breeding and could have been my inexperience and had it to wet. They still all hatched well and was easy to fix. I had wanted to try the vermiculite my following year and it comes in a huge bag so that is what I have been using.

Have you guys ever heard of the SIM container? Not looking to push anything, but it takes a bit of the guesswork out of it. Worth checking out if you have the time.

I looked it up sounds pretty neat. I have seen the egg trays but not the sim containers. If the eggs really hatch with out the yolk sac def worth the investment. I would say I have some that do absorb the yolk sac fully before hatching but not all am always worried about them losing it. Thanks for the info.
