My younger siblings got a bearded dragon back in December/January. She is a 3 year old dragon and the people we adopted her from gave us a cage that I would estimate to be about 55 gallons. I measured it to be about 650 square inches. She however shows signs of stress in the enclosure and I recognize that her current cage is much too small for an adult bear die. Any recommendations for good cages for adult bear dies?

I have a zen habitats 2x2x4, its a good enclosure, easy to put together, has options for hanging lights inside the enclosure, everyone has their own opinion on whats the least amount of space they can have, some bearded dragons are fine with a 40gal enclosure, some…… like mine….. even though i gave her this home…

The equivalent of a 120gallon, and She still glass surfs and Demands! Outside time every day (temps and everything are accurate) …. in my experience, some dragons are just crazy and others are quite happy with being in a small enclosure. Is your dragon digging at all? Lots of beardy owners are dealing with their females laying eggs right now, could it be that? Do u have a lay box?

I use the ZenHabitat as well -- you can look at Carolina Cages or this tank from dubia roaches -- make sure you read every thing on the website about it and please contact them w/ questions -- I am not sure if they have changed the screen on top yet I know they had posted something about it earlier but this is still on the webpage
IMPORTANT: We do not recommend having lights above 100 watt on top of the screen. With the first batch of enclosures, the coating on the screen can potentially melt causing discoloration which is purely cosmetic so we recommend using a 100w or less bulb or a fixture that can be mounted inside. We have used magnets or hooks with washers to hang lighting and heat fixtures from the screen top. This is purely a cosmetic issue and will be fixed in the next round of enclosures.
That is a good price for the enclosure ---

https://apcages.com/
I have posted some places but please make sure you read all about the tank and contact these people if necessary I would recommend a 4x2x2 nothing lower than a 18" --- you will have issues w/ heat and UVB w/ a lower height - 24" is good nothing higher same reason ---
the Zen Habitats come w/ a stainless steel screen -- not hot on the plexi glass doors but other than that the tank is a good tank ---
www.ZenHabitats.com you want the PVC one if you go w/ them -- $389
https://carolinadesignerdragons.com/product-category/custom-cages/ these are heavy tanks as they are made out of glass --- and I dont like the UVB being attached to the basking bulb and I think these people do that --you cant adjust the bulb if its too hot etc ---you can inquire about that if your interested in the tank
any more help please ask

I didn’t even know you needed to provide a lay box. As I said this is not my pet however I do take care of her multiple days of the week. I can totally set her up with one however she does not really display much digging or signs of wanting to dig. I feel very silly rn haha.

Thank you so much! I just got a 100w light because the previous one went out, good thing I didn’t go over because I just saw this. We are thinking of building a diy cage however I will keep these in mind!

Haha yes thank you very much, I’ll look up some videos on how to set up an egg box. I did research when my siblings got the dragon, however, the egg stuff is new to me.
