Can anyone tell me if they trim their Beardie's nails? Kiwi spends most of the evening on my shoulder ever since she was a hatchling and now she's 13 months old and those nails are ripping my skin. She has bark and rock in her encloser but doesn't seem to help much as far a wearing the nails down.
Is it dangerous to trim their nails?

No, it is not dangerous to trim their nails. It is necessary, just like trimming your dog's nails. You'll need to watch for the vein that runs in their nails (just like a dog's vein). I've used regular people nail clippers. If you do knick the vein, you can use cornstarch to stop the bleeding. Or the dog/cat stop bleeding powder that is sold at most pet stores.

Good to know thank you..I am a former Vet Nurse but have little experience with reptiles. Dog nails I'm good at..lol I will get a baby nail clipper and give it a slight trim to start. Just to get her use to it. She might not like this too much.

What pet or child likes to have their nail's cut...lol!

We used to have luck close to bedtime. We would bring Bernie out, play with him. Then when he dozed off on our chests, snip, snip, snip.
