Hello everyone, I have an older bearded dragon, approx 8 to 10 yrs old. We just went to the specialized vet today because she has been gasping for air. They did an exam and x-rays and everything looked ok, except her distended abdominal. The vet said that he thought she was either ovulating or that she had a mass. (Quite frankly I don't think she is ovulating...). So my question is, because he did not test her stool, could parasites cause abdominal distending? Anything else besides a potential mass that could cause this? I paid $500 on this vet visit, I'm pretty certain that this is not a case of ovulationg. My previous bearded died at the age of 12 of cancer. So I'm afraid this is what may be, but to love to hear of any other potential and less deadly hypothesis. Any thoughts anyone?

Hello, I'm so sorry that this is happening to your bearded dragon, wish I could help but I've never had this happen. I would think that parasites could cause something like that but I am not a professional.
