Beardie UVB

Hi guys, I recently purchased a reptisun 10.0 UVB lamp but I am pretty confused on how you set it up, also I have been doing some research on how far away the heat and UVB are supposed to be and it says 12 inches but mine are 6 inches away! Is there a way I can keep the heat and UVB father away and make sure he stays warm?

For the reptisun it should be within 6-8 inches away from your beardie. If anything you can use zip ties to hang it that’s what I did for mine. For your basking bulb if anything you can just decrease the wattage until it’s the right temperature or you can use a stand to hang it up higher. Hope this was helpful

Are you using the tube T 5 or T 8 -- they have different placement distances --- the T 8 will need to go into the tank w/ NO clear plastic cover over the bulb --- 6-8 inches directly over the basking decor -- the T 5 can go on top of screen but that screen needs to be wide hole if its a fine mesh like a screen door it needs to go into the tank w/ a distance of 12-15 inches above basking decor --- if you need help hanging it I can post things to hang w/
